CEC Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering

The Sid and Reva Dewberry Department of Civil, Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering (CEIE) is an internationally recognized program leading the expansion of knowledge on developing sustainable and resilient cities and villages. The department offers the Civil and Infrastructure Engineering MS and PhD programs educating students in the theory and practice of civil engineering science and design as well as preparing students for advanced leadership positions in research and development in the public or private sector, academics, or government.

CEC Computer Science

GMU's Department of Computer Science is the top-ranked CS department in Virginia by csrankings.org.  We offer MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science, an MS degree in Software Engineering, and a Computing Foundations bridge certificate for those.  We also offer a bridge certificate for those wishing to pursue our MS degrees but who do not have an undergraduate background in Computer Science.

GeorgeSquared (Advanced Biomedical Sciences) is a collaboration between George Mason and Georgetown Universities that offers a nine-month pre-health preparatory, graduate-level program designed to help qualify students for medical, dental, or other health professional schools.

Global Affairs and Middle East and Islamic Studies Accelerated and MA Programs

The Global Affairs graduate program and the Middle East and Islamic Studies graduate program both offer a rigorous curriculum of 30 multidisciplinary credits that provides graduate students with a global perspective and prepares them to enter today's fast-paced, interconnected world.

Women and Gender Studies MAIS and BAM

FOCUSING ON THE INTERSECTIONS: Women and Gender Studies combines research, teaching, and activism, with a focus on the intersections of sex, gender, race, class, sexuality, and power in preparation for careers in education, public service, community organizing, and more. We offer an MAIS with a concentration in Women and Gender Studies as well as a Graduate Certificate that can be taken fully online, in person, or a combination of both.
