Starting my freshman year at George Mason University (GMU) was a whirlwind of excitement and a bit of nervousness. From the moment I stepped onto campus, I felt a mix of anticipation and curiosity about what lay ahead.
Orientation helped break the ice, and I quickly connected with fellow students who were just as eager to dive into this new chapter. The professors were fantastic—passionate and supportive, they really pushed me to think critically and engage with the material.
Getting involved in clubs was a highlight for me. Whether it was joining a study group or attending fun events, I found a community that made college feel less overwhelming. The friendships I built during late-night study sessions and spontaneous outings became some of the best parts of my experience.
My freshman year taught me so much about independence and discovering my passions. I’m excited to continue this journey at GMU and see what the next year has in store!
