The Center for Culture, Equity, and Empowerment leverages programs and services focused on advocacy and direct student support to strengthen equity and inclusion at Mason. Our advising fosters opportunities for identity development, cross-cultural engagement, and inclusive learning communities, affirming the indivisible aspects of all our identities.
Mason created a dedicated position within the Admissions Office for a military/veteran liaison in 2008, which evolved into the Office of Military Services. We provide tailored benefits counseling and admissions support to members of the military, veterans, and their families.
Success Coaching helps students transition to college, make the most of their student experience, and work through their own definition of success while at Mason. Success Coaches guide and encourage the growth and development of each student’s knowledge, skills, attitudes, and beliefs about their ability succeed in higher education as well as within their chosen field.
Student Health Services provides accessible and affordable health care to currently enrolled Mason students in a caring and confidential environment. We offer a wide variety of services to keep our community healthy.
University Studies empowers students to craft a successful college experience and prepare for their future. Our courses are open to all undergraduate students as they transition into Mason, determine their career path, learn how to engage in the college community and prepare for life after graduation by building a holistic set of skills and competencies.
CAPS is here to help you be a successful member of the Mason community. Our staff of mental health providers and learning specialists has been carefully selected to provide you with quality assistance. They will work collaboratively with you to identify steps that you can take to address any personal, interpersonal and academic concerns you may have.
OSCAR provides students the opportunity to connect with faculty and to the research and creative mission of the institution. Students will see their education as a process of discovery, inquiry, and synthesis; these are the core values of the Mason student experience. Faculty engage students in current and relevant activities using new paradigms of instruction and active modeling of critical thinking.
