Welcome to the George Mason University Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program. George Mason Army ROTC, the Patriot Battalion, is among the best in the country, consistently producing highly qualified commissioned officers for the Active Army, National Guard, and the Army Reserves.

Our philosophy is to teach, coach, and mentor you as you grow into an effective warrior-scholar-athlete. We accomplish this by building the fundamentals and expanding on mission command philosophy to accomplish the mission. We will be challenging you to push your limits along the way and help build you into an efficient and effective leader. We will assist you in honing your leadership skills by providing resources, guidance, mentorship, and multiple training opportunities to expand your skill sets. We encourage you to take advantage of our program’s vast cadre knowledge and experience as you continue your personal and professional progression. The ROTC program will prepare you to meet the challenges and responsibilities that you will encounter as a leader in the United States Army.
