The Black Law Student Association, or BLSA, focuses on creating and strengthening the resources, including information, internship opportunities, community service, and professional and academic development at equal access for all students, especially if they are interested in pursuing a career in law. For instance, our organization hosts events that assist members and students to engage with each other and become more involved in our community. The Black Law Student Association aims to promote diversity, inclusiveness, and equality for all students, illustrating how unique our Mason community and the legal profession are. Ultimately, the Black Law Student Association’s purpose is to serve as a pre-law organization that focuses on ameliorating students pursuing professional legal careers while creating a safe place for them to be themselves regardless of their race, sexual orientation, and gender.
