The George Mason University Chapter shall further the growth of operational meteorology in the region by providing the community with a social and scientific point of contact for meteorological, hydrological, and other related scientific interests. The George Mason University Chapter shall encourage collaborative research among its members and the George Mason University Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Earth Sciences departments faculty in the related fields of meteorology and climatology.
