Taylor Rose Clarke is so excited to be back this year and to experience the first virtual conference! Taylor attended WJMC as a correspondent in 2013 and she returned in 2018 as a Junior Faculty Advisor for the Teal Group. Taylor is a recent graduate of Hofstra University where she earned her bachelor’s in journalism with a minor in American studies. During her time there, Taylor served as the news editor and later the editor-in-chief of The Hofstra Chronicle, the University’s student-run, weekly newspaper. Taylor’s investigative reporting earned her several honors including: Senior of the Year for Journalism, a Fair Media Council FOLIO Award for Enterprise Reporting and recognition from the Hearst Journalism Awards Program. Outside of Hofstra, Taylor worked as a social media intern for Newsday Media Group and most recently with NBC News, where she helped cover critical national events like the New Hampshire Primary, Super Tuesday and the coronavirus pandemic.
