The Hunt Course is an independently owned and operated test preparation program serving Virginia public and private school students since 1976. This test preparation program is not part of any national corporation or franchise.

Bud Mayo, owner and director of the Hunt Course is an experienced educator. He has served as an administrator, coach and counselor during his 47-year career. Mr. Mayo holds a M.Ed. from the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia, and he also serves as an adjunct instructor at the University of Virginia, Northern Virginia Center. He is a past president and member of the Northern Virginia Secondary School Administrators Association and the Northern Virginia Youth Services Coalition. Bud has personally tutored and counseled over 500 students for the SAT since 1976.

The Hunt staff is composed of experienced teachers. All Hunt instructors are certified to teach in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Hunt instructors have received in-depth training in test preparation. These professional educators bring years of expertise to the classroom.
