University of Minnesota Twin Cities is the flagship university for the state. We are a large, public university with over 30,000 undergraduate students, world-renowned academics with 150 majors, 135 minors spread across 7 direct admitting colleges, as well as an honors program. UMN is a tier-one research university allowing students to begin conducting and participating in research as early as freshman year. We are located in the heart of the twin cities (1.5 miles east of downtown Minneapolis). Our location and size allow for an abundance of opportunities to be involved in the community both on and off campus: 900 clubs; study abroad; and 23 D1 sports in B1G conference (go Golden Gophers!)
